Syelo Monthly Update

April 2024

The best part about most great recruiters is that they are the most friendly and helpful people you will find. A great recruiter is a humanist, they care about folks and more importantly they believe in them too.

At Syelo we are incredibly lucky to be building this community with some of the best people on the planet. As we continue to look into the future our mission is simple, build the best community with the best people so that we can all be best friends :) .

In April the Syelo community did some pretty cool stuff and we are excited to tell you about them. Below are monthly updates that we think you might care about.

Community

New membership cap. Ever since we pivoted to free membership has been growing 30% WoW. Our current rate of growth indicates that at our current trajectory we will achieve 500 members by the end of Q3 and 1,000 by the end of Q4.

But why? When we first set-out to build Syelo we chose to cap membership at 1,000 because it felt like the right amount of scale without sacrificing on quality. Our opinion has changed. We now believe 1,000 members is too many.

Syelo is capping membership at 500. It is our opinion this is the only way we can maintain the highest standards and drive the ultimate experience for members. Our mission is to build real relationships and we are excited to double down on that mission through purposeful & intentional new member recruitment.

In May we are extremely excited to be welcoming BrightHire (5/28) into the tank! Our team internally has heard a lot of great things about BrightHire and we’re excited to dig in. SyeloTank is open to the public! If you are interested in attending give us a shout and we’ll include you on the invite.

If you know of any really interested companies building world class solutions for recruiters please feel free to introduce them to us! We’re always looking for investments and new startups to showcase on the tank.

Product

We built and launched SyeloGPT! Our first step in creating a cohesive AI powered ecosystem was launching an AI that could be prompted to read resume and search the database for matches (IE: Please show me the top 3 engineers who have experience with hardware and software and have built IOT applications from scratch). Our future state will include AI matching of resumes to open jobs in the network via an autopilot search function.

Conclusion

We would love to take this opportunity to shoutout two incredible members and their big wins this month:

Logan Marsh : Congratulations on the new job at Calendly! They are incredibly luck to have you! You are going to crush it!
Tammy Pham: Congratulations on the new job at Cantina! Sure the executive team includes Sean Parker, but in our opinion you’re the coolest person at the company!

Thank you to all the incredible people who have helped us on this mission and thank you for reading.
